We are all Newtown because from what I saw of the film on PBS, I was deeply saddened by the stories of the families who lost children and their struggles with grief.  I also was taken aback by how much the town has not changed since I lived there as a child from 1979 to 1988.  It looked almost exactly as my family and I left it all those years ago.  That made it very eerie and unsettling.  It doesn’t seem real that such a horrible shooting took place in a place I felt so safe in as a child just a few decades before.
